The hydraulic power transferred to the liquid is calculated as:
Phyd = ρ · g · Q · H
Where:
- Phyd = hydraulic power [W]
- ρ = liquid density [kg/m³]
- g = gravitational acceleration [9.80665 m/s²]
- Q = flow rate [m³/s]
- H = total head [m]
Engineering note
Hydraulic power does not include pump efficiency. Pump input power will be higher.
